Denver Zoo Outdoor Wildlife Theater 12'x110'

Jeff Maxim has been contracted by the Denver Zoo for a variety of projects and installations. Most notable is the Zoo’s Outdoor Wildlife Theater. The specifications called for creating five backdrops for the five different eco-systems the “stars” of the show are from. There is an urban/suburban scene with a dumpster for the rats, a temperate forest for the great owl, rain forest for parrots, American desert, and Australian savannah for whatever animals live there. The idea was to have each backdrop blend into the next creating a seemless backdrop over hundred feet wide. With two shows daily seasonally the kids and the animals have a lot of fun together.
